Take the ferries
Ferries; they are so good that they can be compared with cruise ships. For many passengers these are not only used to get to hard to get to places but are often the preferred choice of travel.
Hurtigruten is the most sought-after by foreign travellers departing Bergen every evening on its costal route to the Artic before turning around at Kirkenes and returning south. Each vessel is different so contact us for details and bookings.
Tallink & Silja line and both comfortable and modern. An essential part of life for the locals and a great way to travel between Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Latvia for visitors. Our staff have travelled on many of these services and can tell you first-hand what they are like.
Stena line, DFDS seaways, Viking Line and many regional ferries are conveniently there to connect your itinerary together. Some ships are big and modern, with cabins, entertainment, shopping arcades and restaurants and other are small, modern and like the local bus. You may be amused by a little ferry sojourn I did last year in western Norway.
